12V XH-M131 Detection Sensor Photoresistor Relay Module
12V XH-M131 Detection Sensor Photoresistor Relay Module has a 5-10 day lead time before dispatch. Order will only be sent once all items are available for delivery.
The XH-M131 Light Control Relay Module is a versatile light-sensing controller designed to automatically switch electrical loads based on ambient light levels. Using a remote photoresistor (LDR) and an adjustable sensitivity control, the module can activate or deactivate lights, fans, alarms, or other devices without requiring a microcontroller.
This 12V version is ideal for applications such as automatic street lighting, garden lights, signage, security systems, car accessories, and industrial automation. If you require a lower supply voltage, we also stock a 5V XH-M131 Light Control Relay Module.
Features:
- Automatic Light Detection: Uses a remote photoresistor (LDR) to detect ambient light and automatically switch connected loads on or off.
- Adjustable Sensitivity: An onboard potentiometer allows you to fine-tune the light threshold at which the relay activates.
- Versatile Relay Outputs: Includes Normally Open (NO), Normally Closed (NC), and Common (COM) relay terminals for either day-activated or night-activated operation.
- High Switching Capacity: Relay rated for up to 10A at 250V AC or 30V DC.
- Status Indicators: Red LED indicates power is applied, while the blue LED shows when the relay is energised.
- Remote Light Sensor: The LDR is connected via wires, allowing it to be positioned away from the relay module for accurate light measurement.
- Reliable Operation: Designed for stable performance from a 12V DC power supply.
Specifications:
- Supply Voltage: 12V DC
- Relay Contact Rating: 10A @ 250V AC / 10A @ 30V DC
- Relay Outputs: NO, NC, COM
- Light Sensor: Remote Photoresistor (LDR)
- Sensitivity Adjustment: Onboard potentiometer
- Power Indicator: Red LED
- Relay Indicator: Blue LED
- Dimensions: 53 × 30mm
How It Works:
The module continuously monitors the surrounding light level using the external photoresistor. When the ambient light falls below the threshold set by the potentiometer, the relay energises. If your load is connected to the Normally Open (NO) terminal, it will switch on in darkness and turn off when sufficient light returns. Alternatively, connecting the load to the Normally Closed (NC) terminal provides the opposite behaviour, allowing the load to operate during daylight hours.
Applications:
- Automatic street and garden lighting
- Outdoor security lighting
- Illuminated signs and displays
- Car and automotive accessories
- Industrial automation systems
- Energy-saving lighting control
