Infrared (IR)

Infrared (IR) technology is used for wireless communication through invisible infrared light, commonly in remote controls, sensors, and data transmission systems. IR devices emit light waves that aren't visible to the human eye but can be detected by receivers, allowing for seamless, line-of-sight communication. In electronics projects, IR components like transmitters and receivers are often used for creating obstacle detection systems, controlling devices remotely, or transmitting signals between microcontrollers and sensors. IR technology is cost-effective, energy-efficient, and widely used in home automation, robotics, and proximity sensors.
