Seeed Studio XIAO PowerBread is a breadboard power supply and meter designed to work alongside your XIAO development board, combining 3.3V and 5V power rails with a built-in colour LCD display for real-time voltage, current, and power monitoring. It's a handy bench tool for anyone prototyping on a breadboard who wants to see what their circuit is actually drawing without reaching for a multimeter.
Real-Time Power Monitoring
Essential power metrics are visible at a glance on the built-in LCD, showing live voltage, current, and power data with line charts and statistics. A TI INA3221 triple-channel monitor handles dual-channel voltage and current sensing, so you can track both output rails simultaneously.
High-Current, Dual-Rail Output
PowerBread delivers up to 1.5A of stable 3.3V power alongside a 5V output, covering most breadboard-based electronics projects in a compact footprint that's designed to minimise space usage on a standard breadboard.
Plug-and-Play Design
It's powered via USB-C through your XIAO board and works straight out of the box on any standard breadboard, with no extra setup required. Long-press the dial to switch between channels in chart and statistic mode, and rotate it to adjust the display for different viewing angles.
Open-Source and XIAO Compatible
PowerBread is compatible with almost all Seeed Studio XIAO dev boards, including the XIAO RP2040, RP2350, ESP32-C3, ESP32-S3, and ESP32-C6, with support for the XIAO SAMD21 and RA4M1 planned. The design and firmware are fully open-source, with active development on new features including PWM generation, ADC reading, and serial monitor functionality.
XPB Web Console
The XPB Web Console is a free companion browser app that turns PowerBread into a full power-analysis workstation. Plug the board into any Chromium-based browser, click Connect, and the firmware streams live measurements over the Web Serial API, with no drivers or installs required. It includes live charts for voltage, current, and power on both channels sampled at 100 Hz, per-channel energy integration in mAh and mWh with a one-click reset, dark and light themes, and a debug console for troubleshooting.
