Seeed Studio Grove Base for XIAO is a plug-and-play expansion board for the Seeed Studio XIAO series, adding an onboard battery management chip and battery pad so you can power and recharge your XIAO board from a 3.7V lithium battery. It breaks out all 14 GPIOs to standard Grove-format connectors, giving you a solder-free way to wire up sensors and modules.
Battery Power and Charging
An onboard battery management chip and battery pad let you run your XIAO board from a 3.7V lithium battery and recharge it directly through the shield, with a power switch and charging status LED so you can see what state the battery is in at a glance.
Solder-Free Connectivity
All 14 GPIOs are broken out to 8 Grove-format connectors, including two I2C and one UART, so you can plug in compatible sensors and modules without jumper wires or soldering. An SPI flash bonding pad is also reserved on the board if you want to add extra flash memory to expand your XIAO's storage.
Compact and Breakable Design
PCB stamp holes let you break the board down to just 25 x 39mm if your project needs a smaller footprint, without losing functionality on the parts you keep.
What You'll Need
Your XIAO board ships with a pair of unsoldered 7-pin headers. Solder these on first, then plug your XIAO straight into the female headers on this shield.
