GY-GPS6MV2 NEO-6M GPS Module with Antenna (u-blox)
GY-GPS6MV2 NEO-6M GPS Module with Antenna (u-blox) has a 5-10 day lead time before dispatch. Order will only be sent once all items are available for delivery.
A compact, reliable GPS receiver built around the u-blox NEO-6M chip, ready to drop into flight controllers, Arduino projects, and Ardupilot builds. It handles the positioning so you can focus on the rest of the system.
u-blox NEO-6M GPS Chip
The NEO-6M positioning engine tracks up to 22 satellites across 50 channels, with -161 dBm tracking sensitivity while drawing just 45 mA. You get 2.5 m horizontal accuracy, up to 5 position updates per second, and a Time-To-First-Fix under 1 second on a hot start. A built-in Power Save Mode helps on battery-powered builds.
Simple UART Interface
Four pins are all you need: VCC, RX, TX, and GND. Connect it straight to your microcontroller's UART, match the default 9600 bps baud rate, and start reading longitude and latitude data.
Position Fix LED
An onboard LED shows GPS status at a glance.
- No blinking: searching for satellites
- Blink every 1 second: position fix found
Onboard Voltage Regulation
A MIC5205 ultra-low dropout 3.3V regulator from Micrel keeps the NEO-6M chip (2.7V to 3.6V operating range) happy from a 3V to 5V input, so it plays nicely with both 3.3V and 5V logic boards like the APM2.0 and APM2.5.
External Antenna and Backup Battery
Comes with a ceramic U.FL antenna (25 x 25 mm) for stronger reception than a bare onboard patch antenna. A small backup battery and built-in EEPROM support hot-starts and retain configuration data when the module is powered off.
