This expansion shield expands all 22 GPIO pins on the Arduino Nano into labelled 3-way SVG (Signal, Voltage, Ground) headers, the same servo-type wiring used by RC servos and most sensors, so you can connect external sensors and actuators without hunting for spare ground and power pins.

Specifications

  • 14 I/O pins (servo type with GND, power and signal)
  • 8 analog pins with power output and GND
  • 6 PWM pins
  • 1 servo power input
  • 5-pin I2C expansion header
  • 4-pin UART expansion header (RX, TX, 5V, GND)
  • AREF output
  • 3.3V output (independent regulator, up to 500mA)
  • DC barrel jack input (2.1mm) with reverse polarity protection
  • Reset button and power indicator LED
  • Dimensions: 60mm x 56mm x 15mm

Every expanded IO header includes its own GND and 5V pin, so wiring servos and sensors is straightforward without needing to share or trace back to a single power rail. The shield also adds a DC barrel jack so you can power the Nano directly from a wall adapter, with reverse polarity protection and a smoothing capacitor included on board. An additional 3.3V regulator supplements the Nano's own limited 3.3V output for projects that need more current at that voltage. The board also includes extra pads matching the Arduino Uno header layout, along with a reset button and power LED.

This shield is designed for the Arduino Nano, including the unsoldered version. If you'd prefer screw terminals over the SVG header pins, take a look at our terminal expansion shield instead.
