This relay module automates on/off switching of electrical devices with adjustable delay times. It supports single-delay (ON/OFF) and cyclic delay modes, making it ideal for applications like pumps, lights, and test systems.
Features
- Voltage Input: Depending on version used. You can find links to each below;
- Compatible with DC 5V, 12V, or 24V.
- Adjustable Time Delays: Control ON and OFF durations.
- Two Selectable Modes; Once Mode & Cycle Mode
- Time Range Settings:
- J4 (OP1): 1 to 100 seconds (finer tuning with 0.1-second accuracy).
- J4 (OP2): 1 second to 15 minutes (less precise tuning with 1-second accuracy).
- J5 (OP3): Enables Once Mode (relay activates once per cycle).
- J5 (OP4): Enables Cycle Mode (relay continuously switches ON/OFF).
- T1: Adjusts the ON duration (how long the relay stays active).
- T2: Adjusts the OFF duration (how long the relay remains inactive).
- External Trigger Connector: Allows manual or external triggering to turn the relay on/off.
- Power Input Connector: Provides DC input for module operation.
Key Components
- Power Input Terminals: Connect your DC supply (5V, 12V, or 24V).
- Relay Output Terminals: Connect the device you want to control.
- J4 Jumpers (OP1 & OP2): Set the time range for delays.
- J5 Jumpers (OP3 & OP4): Select operational modes.
- T1 & T2 Adjusters: Set ON and OFF durations.
- External Trigger Connector: Enables relay control via external input.
- DC Input Connector: Supplies power to the module.
Step-by-Step Setup
Step 1: Connect Power
- Identify the Power Input Connector.
- Connect the positive lead to VCC and the negative lead to GND.
Step 2: Connect Output Device
- Identify the Relay Output Terminals.
- Connect your load (e.g., light, pump) to COM and NO (Normally Open) or NC (Normally Closed) terminals.
- NO terminal: Device is off by default, activates when the relay turns on.
- NC terminal: Device is on by default, deactivates when the relay turns off.
Step 3: Configure Operational Mode (J5)
- Once Mode (OP3):
- The relay turns ON when triggered, remains on for T1, then turns OFF.
- If triggered again during the delay, it resets the process.
- Cycle Mode (OP4):
- The relay alternates between ON (T1) and OFF (T2) continuously.
- If triggered during the delay, the cycle resets.
Step 4: Adjust Timing (J4 & T1/T2)
- J4 (OP1 & OP2):
- OP1: Adjusts 1 to 100 seconds (finer tuning).
- OP2: Adjusts 1 second to 15 minutes (less precise).
- T1: Adjusts ON duration.
- T2: Adjusts OFF duration.
Step 5: Use the Trigger Connector
- One of the white connectors at the module’s end serves as the manual/external trigger, allowing control over relay activation.
- The other white connector is for DC input.
Applications
- Timer Control for Equipment: Automate power-off after a set time.
- Repetitive Testing Circuits: Switch devices on/off at intervals.
- Aquarium Pumps: Create intermittent oxygenation cycles.
- General Automation: Suitable for precise power cycling.

Conclusion
This module offers easy-to-configure, flexible time-based control for various applications. With adjustable delays, mode selection, and external triggering, it’s an efficient solution for automation projects and test circuits.
