ESP32 Shield Expansion Board - 30 Pin

This ESP32 shield expansion board is a prototyping base for 30 pin ESP32 boards. Every GPIO is broken out with its own signal, power and ground header, so sensors and modules connect with a single 3 pin jumper lead, and the onboard DC jack lets your project run from a wall adapter or battery pack instead of a USB cable.

Made for 30 pin boards such as our ESP32 30 pin development board and the DOIT ESP32 DevKit V1.

Powering the Board

• DC jack (5.5 x 2.1 mm): accepts 6.5 to 16V, regulated down to 5V on board. Keep it to 12V or less to limit regulator heat.
• USB: 5V passed through a protection diode.
• 3.3V rail: supplied by the ESP32 board's own regulator, so keep external 3.3V loads to around 250 mA.

Use one baseboard power input at a time. Leave the voltage jumper on 3.3V unless your modules need 5V, as ESP32 GPIO pins are not 5V tolerant.
