Seeed Studio XIAO Debug Mate
Seeed Studio XIAO Debug Mate has a 5-10 day lead time before dispatch. Order will only be sent once all items are available for delivery.
Seeed Studio XIAO Debug Mate is an open-source ESP32-S3 multi-tool built for embedded debugging, combining chip-level SWD debugging, serial monitoring, and power profiling in one plug-and-play device. A standalone 2.01" TFT display and LED status matrix let you monitor your XIAO board without connecting to a PC, while native XIAO pin compatibility means any pre-soldered XIAO board plugs straight in without extra wiring.
Professional Chip-Level Debugging
Powered by an ESP32-S3 running DAPLink firmware, the Debug Mate provides a DAPLink-compatible SWD interface with full OpenOCD and PyOCD support. You can set breakpoints, step through code, inspect memory, and access low-level hardware operations directly from your PC, bringing lab-grade debugging to your desk without a separate debug probe.
Intelligent Serial Monitor and UART Passthrough
The board monitors communications between your XIAO and the Debug Mate, or between the Debug Mate and external UART devices like Arduino boards, Raspberry Pi, or Grove sensors. Serial data can be viewed live on the onboard display for instant feedback, or redirected to your PC for closer analysis, giving you full visibility into serial traffic through a single tool instead of juggling several.
Precision Power Profiling
Three dedicated measurement interfaces track power consumption down to microamp levels, covering voltage and current readings, ultra-low-power states, and consumption patterns with peak and valley identification. Each unit is factory-calibrated to ±10% accuracy at 1-10μA, making it genuinely usable for validating battery life and optimising power consumption on XIAO-based projects straight out of the box.
Standalone Visual Feedback
The 2.01" LCD displays real-time serial communications, power readings, and UART data streams without needing a PC connection, while the 36-LED matrix gives an instant baud rate indicator. That makes it well suited to field testing, mobile development, and quick power checks away from a bench setup.
Open-Source and Broadly Compatible
While purpose-built for plug-and-play use with pre-soldered XIAO boards, the open-source design extends to any ARM Cortex-M target via standard SWD and UART interfaces, giving it use beyond just the XIAO ecosystem if you need it.
Note that debugging isn't currently supported for the XIAO nRF54L15 series or the XIAO ESP32 series (C3/S3/C6/C5).
