Seeed Studio XIAO RP2040 is a dual-core development board built around the Raspberry Pi RP2040 chip, packed into the classic 21 x 17.8mm XIAO form factor. It supports a wide range of development environments, including Arduino IDE for rapid prototyping, the C/C++ SDK for optimal performance, MicroPython and CircuitPython for quick scripting, and Rust and Go for more modern workflows. Backed by extensive documentation and an active Raspberry Pi community, it's well supported for beginners and experienced developers alike.
Unsoldered for Custom Builds
This is the base version of the XIAO RP2040, supplied without headers soldered on. That makes it a better fit if you're planning to solder it directly into a custom PCB, use it in a low-profile or space-constrained enclosure, or simply prefer to choose your own header type and orientation. If you'd rather skip the soldering step entirely, we also stock a pre-soldered version, ready to plug straight into a breadboard.
Classic Form Factor and a Growing Ecosystem
Launched in 2021, the XIAO RP2040 carries the classic compact XIAO design at 21 x 17.8mm. It's natively compatible with the wider XIAO add-on ecosystem, including expansion boards, sensors, displays, connectivity modules, and actuators, covering everything from Grove modules and CAN-Bus to LoRa, vision sensors, GPS, and more. Whatever the scope of your project, there's likely a compatible module to support it.
Onboard Indicators
The board features both a 3-color User LED and an RGB LED, giving you a straightforward way to add status indicators or eye-catching light effects to your builds.
