UPS HAT (C) for Raspberry Pi Zero – 5V Uninterruptible Power Supply with 1000mAh LiPo Battery

The UPS HAT (C) by Waveshare is a compact uninterruptible power supply for the Raspberry Pi Zero series. It keeps your Pi Zero running from its onboard LiPo battery when external power drops out, so your project stays online without a reboot or lost data.

The HAT connects to the underside of the Pi using spring pogo pins, leaving the GPIO header free so other HATs can stack on top. A boost converter provides a regulated 5V output, and the LiPo charger with dynamic power-path management keeps power stable while charging. The battery voltage, current, power and remaining capacity can be read over I2C, so your software can monitor the battery and shut down safely. A 1000mAh LiPo battery is included.

Note: a pin header must be soldered to the Raspberry Pi Zero for the pogo pins to make contact. The Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W ships without a header, so one needs to be soldered on first.
