Seeed Studio XIAO RA4M1
Seeed Studio XIAO RA4M1 integrates Renesas' RA4M1 chip, a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M4 MCU running at up to 48 MHz with FPU, into the classic 21 x 17.8mm XIAO form factor. It offers 256KB flash, 32KB SRAM, 8KB EEPROM, a USB 2.0 connector, a 14-bit ADC, a 12-bit DAC, and a CAN bus interface, and shares the same 32-bit microcontroller as the Arduino Uno R4, making it natively compatible with the Arduino IDE.
Expanded I/O for More Complex Projects
The board adds 8 new IO pins on the back compared to earlier XIAO boards, bringing the total to 19 GPIOs. That extra I/O headroom makes it a better fit for more complex applications that would otherwise outgrow a standard XIAO board.
Onboard Resources and Security
Alongside the 14-bit ADC and 12-bit DAC, the board includes USB 2.0 and an onboard RGB LED. Built-in hardware encryption, secure boot, and key storage add a level of application security for projects that need it, backed by AES128/256.
Efficient Power Design
Four operating modes are available, with deep sleep consumption as low as 45μA, along with onboard charging circuitry and support for lithium battery charge management, making it a solid option for battery-powered applications.
Compact and Production-Friendly
At 21 x 17.8mm, it keeps the classic thumb-sized XIAO form factor. Its SMD design places all components on the front with stamp holes on both sides, suited to efficient mass production as well as bench prototyping.
