1 Channel PC817 Optocoupler Isolation Module - 3-5V Input
1 Channel PC817 Optocoupler Isolation Module - 3-5V Input has a 5-10 day lead time before dispatch. Order will only be sent once all items are available for delivery.
This 1-channel optocoupler isolation module uses the PC817 (EL817) photoelectric isolator to electrically separate your microcontroller or logic circuit from higher-voltage or higher-current loads. It's built for signal isolation, level shifting, and protecting sensitive MCU inputs and outputs from noise, back-EMF, and voltage spikes when driving inductive loads such as relays and motors.
Common Uses
- Isolating MCU outputs (Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, Raspberry Pi, AVR, ARM) when driving relays, motors, or other inductive loads
- Level shifting between low-voltage logic and higher-voltage circuits, such as 24V PLC inputs
- Detecting higher-voltage sensor signals safely on a lower-voltage MCU input
- Signal inversion between input and output
- Current amplification where MCU output current is too low to drive a downstream circuit directly

Why Optocoupler Isolation
Optocoupler isolation keeps your control circuit electrically separate from the load circuit, so voltage spikes, noise, or faults on the load side can't feed back into your MCU. This is standard practice when switching relays, motors, or other inductive loads from logic-level outputs.

Compatibility
Works with Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, Raspberry Pi, AVR, ARM, and PLC systems operating at 3.3V or 5V logic level.
