Raspberry Pi Sense HAT

The Raspberry Pi Sense HAT is a sensor-rich add-on board designed for use with all 40-pin Raspberry Pi boards, including Raspberry Pi 5, 4, 3, 2, and Raspberry Pi Zero models. Originally developed for the Astro Pi mission on the International Space Station, it enables environmental sensing, motion tracking, and interactive display functionality in a compact form factor.

Board Features:

• Gyroscope (angular rate): ±245/500/2000 dps
• Accelerometer (linear acceleration): ±2/4/8/16 g
• Magnetometer (magnetic field): ±4/8/12/16 gauss
• Barometer: 260–1260 hPa absolute pressure range (approx. ±0.1 hPa accuracy under normal conditions)
• Temperature sensor: ±2°C accuracy from 0°C to 65°C
• Relative humidity sensor: ±4.5% accuracy in the 20–80% RH range, ±0.5°C temperature accuracy in 15–40°C range

Other onboard features include an 8×8 RGB LED matrix for visual output and a small 5-button joystick for user input. The Sense HAT connects directly to the 40-pin GPIO header and is fully programmable via an official Python library, making it suitable for education, prototyping, and embedded applications.
