Raspberry Pi 5 M.2 HAT+
The Raspberry Pi 5 M.2 HAT+ is an official adapter designed to add high speed M.2 NVMe storage to the Raspberry Pi 5 using its built in single lane PCI Express 2.0 interface. It converts the Pi 5 PCIe FPC connector into an M.2 M Key slot, making it ideal for fast boot drives, storage expansion, and performance focused projects.
The board supports M.2 devices in the 2230 and 2242 form factors and can supply up to 3A of power to connected peripherals, ensuring reliable operation with NVMe SSDs. It conforms fully to the Raspberry Pi HAT+ specification and is automatically detected by the latest Raspberry Pi firmware and operating systems without manual configuration.
The M.2 HAT+ is designed to be mechanically compatible with the Raspberry Pi 5 even when the Raspberry Pi Active Cooler is installed. It is supplied with the required ribbon cable, stacking header, spacers, and mounting hardware for a secure and supported installation.
Note
SSD is not included. For best compatibility and performance, we recommend using official Raspberry Pi NVMe SSDs such as the Raspberry Pi NVMe SSD 256GB or the Raspberry Pi NVMe SSD 512GB.
