The Raspberry Pi 5 M.2 HAT+ Compact is an ultra small form factor NVMe adapter designed specifically for installations where space and airflow matter most. It fits neatly inside the Official Raspberry Pi 5 Case and is currently the smallest 2230 SSD HAT available for the Raspberry Pi 5.
The Compact HAT+ connects to the Raspberry Pi 5 via its single lane PCI Express 2.0 interface using an onboard FPC connection and adapts this to an M.2 M Key slot. It supports NVMe SSDs in the 2230 form factor and can supply up to 3A of power, making it suitable for high performance storage in enclosed case builds.
This HAT+ is automatically detected by the latest Raspberry Pi OS and fully conforms to the Raspberry Pi HAT+ specification. It is supplied with an inbuilt FPC cable and low profile mounting hardware, allowing installation without interfering with the Official Case cooling solution.
Compatibility note
This version is not compatible with the Raspberry Pi Active Cooler. It is designed for use with the Official Raspberry Pi 5 Case and its built in fan.
Note
SSD is not included. We stock compatible NVMe drives in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB capacities separately.
If you require support for larger 2242 SSDs or use with the Active Cooler, consider the full size Raspberry Pi 5 M.2 HAT+.
