The L298N Dual H-Bridge Motor Driver Module is a powerful controller based on the L298N chip, designed to drive two DC motors at up to 2A each or a single stepper motor with bidirectional control. With a wide drive voltage range of 5–35V DC and built-in short-circuit protection diodes, this module is ideal for robotics, automation, and motor control projects.

The module features an onboard 5V regulator, which can supply logic voltage for your Arduino or microcontroller when using 7–12V DC input. For voltages above 12V, the 5V jumper should be removed to prevent damage. Large filter capacitors and protection diodes improve reliability and reduce heat generation during operation.

Key Features

  • Dual H-Bridge design for controlling two DC motors or one stepper motor
  • Maximum motor current: 2A per bridge (4A total)
  • Drive voltage: 5–35V DC
  • Built-in 5V regulator for powering microcontrollers (7–12V input)
  • Screw terminals for secure and easy wiring
  • LED indicators for power and output status
  • Four mounting holes for stable installation
  • High reliability with filter capacitors and short-circuit protection diodes

Specifications

  • Chip: L298N
  • Logic voltage: 5V
  • Motor drive voltage: 5–35V DC
  • Maximum power: 25W
  • Maximum driving current: 2A per channel
  • Control inputs: 6 digital pins
  • Storage temperature: -20°C to +135°C
  • Dimensions: 69 × 56 × 36mm
  • Weight: 30g

Notes

  • When driving voltage is 7–12V, onboard 5V supply can power logic circuits.
  • For driving voltages above 12V, remove 5V jumper and supply logic from an external 5V source.
  • The module outputs current only when both logic and motor power are properly supplied.
  • Not suitable for directly driving high-current motors above 2A per bridge.

The L298N Dual H-Bridge Motor Driver Module is a robust, versatile solution for controlling DC and stepper motors, offering reliable performance, bidirectional operation, and convenient microcontroller integration for all your robotics and automation projects.
